Last year on a design trip to LA, I discovered H.D. Buttercup, the really cool home design "manutailer" ~ manufacturer/retailer. H.D. Buttercup serves the gap between customers who are buying mass produced furniture and those purchasing from a design center. Each manutailer is hand selected and given a showroom area to display their designs, giving customers a stylish & hands-on shopping experience. I liked many of the lines they selected, some of which were very eco-friendly.
Environment Furniture, is an eco-design company that uses reclaimed wood from Brazil for their collections. H.D. Buttercup houses the flagship Environment Furniture retail store called Era. While shopping there, I was very inspired by their bedroom collection. I find shopping for a bed very difficult if you cannot see it and feel it in person. Luckily for me, I got to take a first hand look at Era's showroom. The following are last year's pictures of the Environment Furniture bed collection, and you will notice that each bed is very beautifully styled. I love the dark woods and textured linens in vegetable tones. I don't know where the textiles came from, but I am guessing they are South American. I'm thinking of this look for my own bedroom using neutral earth tones, capiz shell lighting and some of the Philippine textiles that I have been collecting...
I LOVE HD Buttercup. I've only been there twice, but both times its been a very calming experience. Did you end up going with the above look for your bedroom, or did you decide to go with something different?

Modern furniture comes with different kinds, types, styles, designs, colors and sizes. So, you have to be able to pick the ones that will suit your home best.

The focal point of your room has been established and also the furniture is in place, but it needs something more. That “something” is most likely going to arrive within the form of home decor accessories. A room can never be complete without the proper amount of accessories and additions to pull the look of a room with each other.

This looks like really nice construction for a chair. It is hard to find things that are solidly built these days. I appreciate the fact there are still manufacturers out there willing to build quality.

I love building spaces: architecture, furniture, all of it, probably more than fashion. The development procedure is more tactile. It's about space and form and it's something you can share with other people.

Most apartments are in buildings designed for the purpose, but large older houses are sometimes divided into apartments.
