Check out these fantastic rugs at ABC Carpet & Home in NYC that "escape predictability, embrace the unconventional and help preserve our planet." The Color Reform Collection salvages imperfect, vintage rugs that were headed to the "rug graveyard" and transforms them into modern works of art using color. Each one of a kind rug was handcrafted by Turkish artisans. The vintage rugs were neutralized to remove their original color and then over-dyed to create their remarkable chromatic state. I love the variations in tonality and the subtle texture made by the original intricate designs! What an amazing concept!

Very Nice concept, but over priced... I found a rug maker in LA, they can do color reform on your current handmade rug, here a link to there blog article about over dyed rugs. http://blog.amararugs.com/BlogHome/?Tag=over+dyed+rugs

Carpet provides actual thermal resistance. I personally agree that carpets give the home effective additional color that would truly delight every visitor who is in there and even the person within will truly feel com fort.
