I have long been a fan of Nancy Liu Chin's floral & event design work - so fresh and so modern! This wedding theme is called Aqua Poppy and features beautiful red dahlias and aqua accents. I adore the classic and elegant saris and Indian embellishments!

GORGEOUS colors. I like the idea of being rained with rose petals. There is a beautiful passage in Indu Sundaresan's novel "The Twentieth Wife" where the maharani Nur Jahan has all the roses of the imperial palace garden plucked, placed one by one on the tiles of the courtyard and a single drop of rose oil placed in each one. She and her husband the king Jahangir then walk to greet each other from opposite ends of the royal courtyard, with the whole court watching. Might sound a bit trite here but in the book it is a moving and strongly visual passage. That's what these pictures made me think of!
